Oh my … loved just reading this. I delivered a Tedx Talk recently about being Bolder & Older & covered lots of the ground you mention here. I am so happy that lots of younger women like you get this & leading the way. It’s great to see this kind of evolution.
Thank you so much for your kind words! As a woman in my 30s, I find it so important—and honestly reassuring—to have women like you to look up to who are championing this narrative of being bolder and older. Your TEDx Talk sounds incredible, and I love that you’re paving the way for all of us to rethink what ageing means.
You are speaking my love language — I am 55 and have been writing about fashion, beauty and wellness through the lens of aging for close to a decade in hopes of changing the narrative. The groundswell we are seeing is phenomenal. Part of the shift, for me, is showing younger generations that aging is not something to fear (they are notoriously afraid!) but to embrace as you gain so much more confidence and wisdom with each passing decade. I love that you are in your 30's and have embraced this! Keep up the great work.
Thank you so much Christine—your words mean the world to me! The fact that you’ve been championing this conversation for nearly a decade is so inspiring. It’s amazing to hear from someone who has been actively changing the narrative and showing us all that ageing is not only something to embrace but something to look forward to.
I completely agree that confidence and wisdom come with time, and it’s so important for younger generations (myself included) to see ageing as a privilege, not a limitation. Voices like yours are the reason this groundswell is happening, and I’m so grateful to be part of this shift. Thank you for the encouragement and for leading by example—it gives me so much hope for how this conversation will continue to evolve! ✨
What a great read, love it! Never even thought about how we actively go out of our way to say anti aging as if we’re literally protesting against it. And why does all marketing/ buying power seem to focus on youth so much as if life stops there. Silly. Ty for sharing!
Thank you so much! It’s wild, isn’t it, how “anti-ageing” has become such an ingrained term—as if growing older is something we need to resist at all costs. It really speaks to the way society and marketing frame youth as the pinnacle, when in reality, so much richness, power, and buying power (hello, luxury market!) exists in every stage of life. 💖💫
I’m so glad you enjoyed the post. I completely agree—there’s so much opportunity for fashion and beauty to truly embrace ageing and celebrate the richness and diversity it brings!

That's very kind too, Becky - thankyou. There is nothing better when women of every age come together.
